Bought this for my mother but found out my sister beat me to it. She purchased another brand. I decided to keep the one I bought. It is so great. It will clip onto any width of padded sofa or chair arm very tightly. Holds a drink and maybe a small bowl. It is nice looking too being all wood. If you are thinking about getting something like this, buy this brand. It is much better than the others out there that are cheesy looking plastic.

These are great they don't dig into the leather on the arm of the couch. The coffee table is too far away as the couch has recliners and before this everyone put their drinks on the arm. I love these and recommend them!

The trays were exactly as they showed and said they would be. Solid wood, sturdy hinges, quality construction. They are raw wood, unstained, untreated. I liked that because I could stain or paint them to exactly what I want color-wise. The hinges snug the arm of the sofa very well, and even if you bump them, they will slant a bit, but not a lot, so you won't spill anything overboard and onto your furniture. I eat many dinners on my sofa, and these work well in holding my plate or bowl or cup. And now I have a regular spot for my remotes, too. When company comes, I just take them off & stow them away. I highly recommend these sofa armrest trays.

Our couch arm is pretty skinny. I was skeptical at first because this tray would slide around..... But it actually came with a rubber coaster which i put underneath, and it works perfectly to keep the tray in place. It stays put even if we accidentally bump into it. This works very well. The springs gripping the arm of the couch are very sturdy. They also close in such a fashion that, when sitting on a table in the closed position, the tray is still very sturdy and not wobbly.

This is very solid and the springs that hold it on the arm of the sofa are very strong but not overly strong so as to harm your sofa. It also looks good on the sofa.
